Research fellowships

PON UJ offers ten fellowships for scholars who focus in their work on Polish culture, history or politics. Scholars employed at British academic institutions as well as post-doctoral fellows and graduate students are welcomed to apply for a grant in the amount of PLN 15,000 (approx. GBP 3000) covering the costs of their short stay and research in Poland.

The 2012 edition of the fellowships programme proved a strong need for a support for Poland-oriented research in Britain. We received dozens of quality applications and were able to select most promising scholars from institutions like University of Oxford, University College London, University of St. Andrews and topics as versatile as British perceptions of Poland-Lithuania in the 17th Century, Polish migrant women in the UK and Poland, and the Divine Mercy devotion.

The 2013 fellowships competition will open in April 2013.
